In a charming and highly professional manner he both educated me about Prius batteries and replaced mine quickly. It's been a month, and the Prius now runs like it hasn't for years. If you want a quick takeaway of my review without reading the whole thing, here's what I'll say...if you have... read moreIf you want a quick takeaway of my review without reading the whole thing, here's what I'll say...if you have a Prius that you love and want to keep (regardless of its resale value) and the hybrid battery needs some love, look no further and call Faraj, Adam and/or EZ! Most honest, transparent, fair and friendly folks I've worked within the auto industry! The auto repair industry has a bad rep, rightfully so, for things including folks upselling you stuff you don't need, auto shops creating problems you didn't know you had, absurd labor charges in the Bay Area, dishonest, non-transparent in the parts they use, and the list can go on. I bought my 2006 Prius used when it had ~65K miles. I absolutely LOVE my car and take very good care of it and the car has served me extremely well. In the fall of 2018, at ~100K mile-mark, I had my first experience of hybrid battery failure. My mechanic quoted me upwards of $4K to replace it with a new Toyota battery pack. No way I was spending more on a battery pack than what the car is worth, but I also wasn't ready to let go of my Prius just yet. Upon some research, I came across Faraj's listing with fantastic reviews and decided to give it a go. Faraj was prompt in his communication, offered to come to my place and fix my battery. He even offered me two options 1) replace the damaged cells on my original battery 2) put a refurbished battery from another Prius but with higher mileage. I leaned on Faraj's expertise -since my Prius had low miles for a 2006, he suggested I replace just the damaged cells on my original battery, so we went that route. That shows the honesty and transparency, which I value very much. Through small talks over snacks and Indian chai, we had some great small conversations and quickly established a bond. Fast forward a few months, summer of 2019, I needed to get an oil change and my Prius smogged. By then, Faraj had got a physical space and suggested I check out the mechanic adjacent to his shop, so I decided to give it a go. Not only did I get my work done at the mechanic he referred (Shan Auto Repair for those looking for a good/reasonable mechanic) but Faraj even covered an oil change at his expense! That simply shows how genuine of a person he is!I wish I knew more folks who owned a Prius, so I can give them a heads up should a hybrid issue arise, about Faraj's business. Not only is he an honest and hard-working, so is his team! Through him, I found another mechanic whom I go to now regularly for my other stuff. Keep continuing the great work! Only if all businesses operated with same ethics and business model, sigh. read less

My 2007 Prius battery died and I had an appointment to replace it with a new Toyota hybrid battery. While there, I also got a catalytic antitheft shield installed and my L rear tail light replaced with a used one, all in the same day which was a pleasant surprise to have a one stop Toyota repair service. They even loaned me their vehicle to finish my errands (FedEx letter that had to be mailed that day). Very nice, hard working, honest folks, reasonably priced services which is hard to find in the automotive repair business, especially as a single woman. What they quote is very close to the final price so no surprises there which is a relief. They work hard to earn your trust and loyalty. While waiting, 2 other female customers said, "You'll be glad you brought your car here. They're the best." I have to agree. You will too. read less

I drove my Prius there yesterday 9/28/21 from Salinas (nobody in this area fixed HV batteries) and was expecting to pick it up the next day. I went and ate nearby while waiting for my ride to pick me up. I received a call from them as I was about to leave expecting to hear bad news about my car, but they had in fact finished replacing the cells in my battery within a few hours. The car ran amazingly on my way home, and definitely recommend them for your hybrid cars. I definitely will be back for future service on my 2004 Prius. Thanks for bringing my car back to life. Our catalytic converter was stolen and after we got it fixed, the car wouldn't start. Our mechanic asked around and was told the big hybrid battery was dead. So he referred us to Prius Hybrid Battery of SJ. We got a quote from the dealer, which was $600 over their price. Since these people specialize in Prius battery and their price is much more affordable, we decided to go with Prius Hybrid Battery of SJ to replace the hybrid battery for us. And we are so glad! We wrote them a check and our mechanic handed it to him. The next day Adam called us back to tell us that the good news is our hybrid battery is actually fine! The car wouldn't start due to the 12V battery being shocked and blown fuse. We were pleasantly surprised because Adam was so honest with us. Our mechanic got other people to look at the car, and they all told him it was definitely the hybrid battery since the car is ~150k miles and the hybrid battery needs to be replaced around then. So we highly recommend this company for Prius battery issues because of their great integrity, quick responsiveness, and skillful diagnosis and work. We will definitely go back to them for any Prius battery issues. read less
